All AFL Clubs are jostling for the right to play on Good Friday  . North Melbourne believe they are the most worthy , as they initially proposed a match on Good Friday in 1992 . A worthy opponent is believed to be Carlton , who have a huge fan base and could draw a crowd.

Essendon and Collingwood already have exclusive rights to the Anzac Day match and it would be assumed they would be out of the running even though they have expressed interest .

A further possibility is that interstate  clubs would also play home matches on Good Friday .
